Now a Chartered Financial Planner and a specialist in private client and corporate pension planning, Stuart also advises his private clients on matters including wider investment planning strategies and inheritance tax planning.
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
Stuart joined St. James's Place in January 2002 after success as a Senior Financial Planner at Standard Life. Already experienced in investments, financial protection and retirement planning, Stuart has grown his depth of knowledge and understanding in Financial Planning to cover wider planning issues such as inheritance tax planning, trust planning and long term care.
Professionally, Stuart has achieved the highly sought after ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ status, recognising his exceptional understanding of the connection between the financial planning landscape and client needs. Add this to his unique and confidence inspiring way of connecting with his clients, and McLean & Partners Wealth Management has managed to share growth and success with their clients, over many years.
A keen competitive sports enthusiast all his life, Stuart still manages to drive fitness of body and mind each week with regular trips to the gym, outdoor bootcamps and continuing to practice karate (until recently, still competing nationally in the ‘veteran’s category’!)
Stuart has seen his 2 grown up children fly the nest but continues to encourage and support their lives as any parent would. Stuart now lives in a quiet suburb of Edinburgh with his Partner and her son.
